Welcome to FEV!

Fen Edge Voices launched in January 2026 as an inclusive community choir based in the village of Cottenham, a few miles north of Cambridge. The choir is building a repertoire spanning the world of pop, rock, musical theatre, and even a little classical, in multi-part harmony.

Please email us with enquiries or to join our membership waiting list. You’ll also find some articles on the basics of musical notation, vocal range, voice health, and more in our musical resources section.

We rehearse in the back hall at Cottenham Community Centre, CB24 8RZ, opposite the Co-op, on Tuesday evenings during term time. The hall is accessible and has toilets and baby-changing facilities. There are cycle racks outside, but no on-site parking. Please arrive from 7pm onwards.

Membership is paid in advance on a per-term basis and works out at just £6 per session.

Everyone is welcome. There’s no audition and no musical experience is expected. We learn most of our songs with piano accompaniment, supported by sheet music. If you’re new to reading music, you can find an introduction to the basics of musical notation.

Members can join the FEV Community on WhatsApp, which has two sections: one for announcements from the Musical Director and Committee, and a separate chat area where everyone can post about choir matters, social events and other general topics.

Our Musical Director is Jasmine Habgood and piano accompaniment is from Rich Mandal.
